About the Author

Jacob R. Sprouse, Jr., an AFCR incorporator, Mr. Sprouse has served as the group's director, editor and publisher since the agency's inception in 1983. As a foster and adoptive parent, Mr. Sprouse was active in foster parent support groups serving both in elected and appointed positions with the Virginia Foster Parent Association (VFPA), International Foster Care Organization (IFCO) and the National Foster Parent Association (NFPA) - serving for five years as the Executive Director of the NFPA before assuming leadership of American Foster Care Resources group.
